Tank is in place. I had to make a hole in the face side of the compartment to be able to put the tank inside.

The tank is fixed in place with side fittings and cargo stripes. Does not move in heeling and rough seas.

Thru-hull fittings, valves and hoses. Bright white thin is inbound rinse water, bright white thick is outbound waste, warm white thick is outbound from tank to main valve. Both valve handles are accessible through inspection hole below the heads.

Piping. Two loose hoses are for the bowl - incoming rinse water and outgoing "stuff". Semi-transparent hose is tank ventilation. Tank outbound thick hose comes to the output valve. One hose then goes to the deck thru-fitting for waste vacuum pumping. Another thick hose goes to a handle pump, then U-elbow and back down to outboard valve.

Some projects are hard to finish. We sailed two seasons with the ugly hole in the bow cabin until I found time to make a cover in October 2009. I made a little round inspection hatch as it was proven that the best way to find out how full the tank was is to tap it with a finger.
