Closer look. White-blue-red stuff in the anode hole is decomposed anode - oxidized zinc.

Brand new anode. Yanmar 27210-200200. From Leevene, affordable.

Anode plate assembled.

Anode plate back in place, new gasket. Starter restored to its original place. Good rust remover makes miracles.
