Ilmeisesti itänaapurista. Tuo vastaava nestelämmitin on saanut hyvää palautetta, Boschin osia sisäisesti jne.
Yes, that one is Russian made apparently - http://en.autoterm.ru. One could save a fist of euros if had connections in the country of origin.

Do their products really have a good feedback? If yes, that would be a nice way to go comparing to overpriced Webasto or Eberspächer.

I have heard good feedback from the binar waterheater, I suspect that this planar isn't that much worse. No thermostat though. But I like that it only makes 800 W at min P. If I would have to buy a new one (knocks wood here) I would try this.

With the rubel as it is, one could get it a _lot_ cheaper from e.g. St. Petersburg.

At this price tag it is worth trying. As far as I understand it is a replica of Webasto or Eberspächer which gives a pretty good hope. :-)

About saman verran meni kun itse kyhäsin Exel-putkista.

http://www.avaryacht.cz/

Sinkitty 9kg CQR ankkuri maksaa alle 60¤ mutta toimitus olisi sitten maksanutkin 110¤. Ehkäpä tuollainen tulee sitten matkatavarana joskus ellei lähempää löydy. Lewmar:n vastaava tuote jää 600¤ hintaisena kauppaan.

Added some pics and diagrams of that discussed earlier Planar 2D heater - http://www.fe83.org/gallery/view_album. ... e=album639 . Considering buying it. Air and exhaust pipes are too short - the set I was able to google about is for vehicles, purchasing longer pipes would be needed.

Really good info there, thanks. There seems to be a connector for a temperature-sensors, which implies that it indeed would have a thermostat. Can you verify this?

You have probably good sources for this heater? Especially with the rubel where it's at right now? Can you tell the price?

You will also need a silencer of some sort on the exhaust, as well as a through-hull for that as well.

The air pipes beeing to short is the case with all heaters as far as I know. No nozzles either with most heaters.

edit: according to this manual ( http://en.autoterm.ru/materials/sh/318 ) it has a ventilation mode as well.

http://en.autoterm.ru/download/Heater_C ... .2015).pdf

What's really nice is that one can put the heater in min-power mode, thus having it on 10 W all night instead of starting and stopping all the time.

It looks smarter than the webasto when the cabin temp-sensors fails as well. The webasto runs at full tilt, whereas this one will drop to mid-power.
In case of open-circuit failure of the cabin temperature sensor (during
operation), the heater will go to medium-power level.
The modem they are quoting in the text is a GSM-modem that costs around 90-120¤. There's even a smartphone app for it.

The planar is said to be min 10 W, whereas the ST2000 14 W.

Have no info on thermostat yet, but yes - there is a connector for temperature sensor and there is a sensor available.
harald wrote:You have probably good sources for this heater? Especially with the rubel where it's at right now? Can you tell the price?
There is a number of places in St.Petersburg (I found none in Vyborg) which sell the heater itself for price 17000-19000 RUB as of 1.2.2016 with exchange RUB/EUR rate of 85/1. Which makes 200-220 EUR. The disadvantages of getting it from Russia is that you could claim your warranty only in Russia, and also delivery expenses - you have to go there and back which costs you money and time if you have no occasion. Lack of warranty is probably no big deal for an engineer who is used to fix things - with the given price and availability of spare parts.

Those parts are available in St.Petersburg to order from Moscow warehouse, price for parts like thru-hull fittings and mounting bracket was about 20-24 EUR a piece.

Yes, that 10W power consumption sounds very good and it might be enough in summer.
