Few hull related questions this time. 1. Plastic waterline tape. I was told by a previous owner, that it's about time to replace it. How to remove it? I suppose a hot air blower would help a lot, but what is a right/maximum temperature not to harm hull GRP? Or is a chemical way better? 2. Same tape....

Buy the Spinlock XAS model 4-8mm. You're never gonna use any larger lines than 8mm anyways, and the holding capacity is greater and wear on an e.g. 8mm line is much less with the 4-8 model, than with the 6-12. I've already got XAS 6-12. And I got my boat with some halyards 10 mm, so I thought 6-12 ...

Winch/jammers places

Hello,

Perhaps a typical FE-beginner question: are winch and jammer standard places reinforced in FE83? Or shall I use a backplate if I replace a winch or a block of jammers?

I remember mixing elbow looks big... Of course you know about the Finnish legistlation about collecting the coolan...

I already removed the thermostat, so nothing will prevent the coolant flow. And the boat is ashore already - I won't pollute the sea in any way. I am just trying to figure out if 8 litres of antifreeze (the mix) is enough to fill up the system. But it's a good point to make a loop - I could first ru...

Yanmar 1GM questions

Currently preparing Yanmar 1GM for winter. How many liters of [antifreeze] coolant do I need to fill the engine and completely get rid of water? Also, is there a known 3d-party replacement for Yanmar alternator belt? The original belt costs 20 EUR in Leevene and belts for car engines cost 3-6 EUR. I...
