Hi there, and welcome!

The inside picture tells me that some "Oh glorious sanding" is needed and some laminating as well. The outside should get the same treatment as well. It looks to me like either water has entered the construction and then frozen, breaking things. Or the parts rusting inside the laminate has swollen enough to break the laminate. It isn't impossible that some outside force (hit on the strut, lifting sling under the strut, a line around the prop) has damaged the construction like that.

I'm no expert, this is just my guess.

Shaft strut

The condition of shaft strut is looking like this at the moment. I saw a post that I could drill a couple of holes and inject epoxy. I wonder if I should do the same treatment. Should I also seal with Sika Flex between the strut and hull? Any advice is highly appreciated!
