SeaTrace on oheisohjelma joka kirjoittaa tiedostoon paljon enemmän dataa mitä SeaClear. Tässä on tiedostoformaatti:
Yleistä
- Data in comma delimited text string
- All speed in Knots
- Lat & Long in decimal deg
- Other angles in Radians

Laskentaohjeita
- Saadaksesi asteita radiaaneista voit ainakin Gnumeric taulukkolaskentaohjelmassa käyttää =DEGREES(solun osoite) määritelmää.
- Saadaksesi solun Jn (J-sarake on apparenttikulma radiaaneissa) näyttämään +/- asteita: =IF(DEGREES(Jn)>180,DEGREES(Jn)-360,DEGREES(Jn))
- Suodattaaksesi piikit ja kuopat datasta, käytä Tools->Statistical Analysis->Forecast->Moving Average. Aseta esimerkiksi 30 Options->Intervalruutuun. Output Output range ja muokkaa vapaa sarakekirjain $-kirjaimien perään niin saat tulokset uuteen sarakkeeseen.
